japanese is hard doesn’t mean learning it should be!
It’s time to work with your brain instead of forcing it to learn the way everyone else seems to be learning Japanese. Remember more words, connect more grammar and get more ‘aha’ moments.
I’m Samantha.
And I’m on a mission to simplify the process of learning Japanese. đ
Using observations from watching hundreds of learners + my fun little quirks to help you get straight to the heart of the language.
Because the teaching method’s not right if so many are struggling with the basics at the intermediate level.
Tell me if you haven’t
- even dipped a foot in because you just don’t know where to start?
- been overwhelmed by all the Japanese language resources out there?
Like, none of them are the right stage for where you’re at? - searched for hours and still can’t figure out if it’s okay to put this word and this word together? Or the reason why those words go together?
- felt completely frustrated by the sentence order, which word is the right word and how to use particles?
- made much progress? Every time you try, you struggle with it and give up again. Or it was going really well but now you’re kind of stuck. Like, nothing is working.
The truth is English speakers are at a disadvantage—
You can’t map Japanese onto your English pathways and call it a day.
Between the sentence order, the different written scripts and hierarchical language, very few things match exactly across the two.
But, what if I said you don’t need other languages to learn Japanese?
Because you don’t.
How is that possible?
When you’re willing to reset the way you (and everyone else) thinks you need to learn a language.
let go of your need to know something with words
Whatever your native language might be you didn’t start speaking it until you were at least a year old, right? We’re going to treat your time with Japanese as if you don’t know any other languages.
experience the language
Some things just cannot be explained in English because it doesn’t exist in English. So, the more ways you can connect to a Japanese word or phrase the easier it’ll be to store and recall that word or phrase.
simplify everything from grammar to study methods
You’ll get my cheatsheets—I’ve taken 38-page manuals and turned them into 1-page double-sided cheatsheets so these are good. Plus, you’ll learn my tricks for spotting similarities and paring down info so you can make your own too.
It still won’t be easy
But would you rather it be a little hard now or a lot harder later?
